AVANU ON FLAGLER – Restaurant

Flagler Avenue's Polynesian corner shucks oysters from late morning, a dollar apiece on weekdays until six. Downstairs reads dark tiki; upstairs the rooftop terrace looks out over New Smyrna Beach. The kitchen leans Pacific: poke and poke stacks built on sushi-grade fish, shellfish, sushi rolls, cod, a Korean chicken sandwich, oysters Rockefeller, and the volcano shrimp the house treats as its signature. Beef, pork and chicken fill out the rest, and weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from ten until two. A specialty cocktail list follows suit. Island cooking with a bar to match, a short walk from the sand.
