Fourteen tables, a full kitchen and a house rule about leaving your drama at the door. Backwoods moved into downtown Okeechobee in November 2025 after eight years at its old address, trading up for a better room for league play, which runs most evenings. Christie Strickland owns it, Earle Strickland manages, and the food is better than a pool hall needs: a half-pound cheeseburger, Earle's Poppers, a Cuban and fries, ribeye chef salad, wings, pizzas, garbage fries, sweet potato fries. The kitchen air-fries rather than deep-fries. Kids and teens are welcome. Beer and wine only. Rack them and settle in.
