Breakfast starts at half past seven and the steam trays are already loaded. This is Bahamian home cooking in Miami's Liberty City, served plainly and in quantity: conch dinner and steamed conch head the card, with fried shrimp, tilapia, pork chop dinners, turkey wings, barbecued chicken and a king sandwich behind them. Island staples fill out the rest - oxtail, stewed fish, plantains, johnnycakes and souse - alongside soul-food crossovers like fried chicken and waffles. Prices are old-fashioned; portions are not shy. Closed Mondays, and Sunday service wraps by early afternoon. Get there early before the good pots run dry.
