BALA’S PIZZA – Restaurant
New York-style pies out of the SilverLeaf shops in St. Augustine, sold by the slice at the counter and as eighteen-inch rounds the rest of the day. The house calls its gourmet pizzas Triple Threats, and the names do the talking: Bronx Bomber, Goodfellas, Hellboy Roni, Hulk, Spicy J, Mushroom Popeye, Alla Rosa, plus a grandma pie and the straightforward margherita and pepperoni. Calzones, strombolis, submarines, salads and starters fill out the board, and the dough gets a page of its own. Eight tables inside, beer by the bottle and on draft, and two-for-one drafts on Thursdays here. Closed Mondays.
