Perched beside the Venetian bastion above Riva del Garda, reached by a glass panoramic lift in about three minutes or on foot through the woods in twenty. The terrace is the reason people climb: Lake Garda spread out below, the town directly underneath, and the ride up itself half the pleasure. Trading now as Bastione Lounge & Restaurant after a full renovation, the kitchen crosses Trentino mountain cooking with Sicilian and Mediterranean flavours across lunch, dinner, raw fish and dessert menus. Coffee in the afternoon, aperitivo at sunset, cocktails afterwards. Open right through the summer season, from ten o'clock daily.
