Mecki's Bike & Coffee – bar

On Via Matteotti in Nago-Torbole, a few pedal strokes from Lake Garda, Mecki's has been a family business for sixty years and a fixture for riders for most of the mountain-biking era. It is a proper Italian bar: espresso from early, a case of brioche, and toasts and panini built to order, the Toast Speciale being the thing riders climb back down for. A bike shop and shuttle service sit next door, apartments behind. Cycling blogs treat it as the first or last stop of a Garda trip. Pull up, refuel, carry on.
