BARAN CAFE – Restaurant

Turkish cooking over charcoal, then shisha until two in the morning. The venue opened on St Johns Bluff Road South as Baran Cafe and now trades as Baran Hookah Lounge, a hundred-seat room built for long evenings: plush seating early, DJ and low lights later. The grill turns out whole branzino finished with sumac-dusted onion and charred lemon, beyti of minced lamb and beef wrapped in lavash under tomato reduction, beef tenderloin shish, char-grilled octopus, gyro, and cheese pide baked in a wood-fired oven. Shisha runs through fruit, mint, sweet and signature blends. Open daily from four in the afternoon.
