The airport-side Basilico works two distinct services on Northwest 36th Street, a weekday lunch and a proper evening, with one northern Italian kitchen behind both. Antipasti open on salmon carpaccio with spinach and Granny Smith apple, portobello alla romana under prosciutto and mozzarella, and a spinach salad with feta and hearts of palm. Pasta is the strength: spinach fettuccine in lobster cream, crab ravioli, house spinach and ricotta ravioli in shiitake cream, linguine alle vongole, gnocchi with San Marzano tomato. Mains run veal scaloppine in wine and capers, gorgonzola and mascarpone risotto, and Angus strip with saffron risotto. Closed Sundays.
