BEACH BUZZ – Restaurant

Beach Buzz took over a long-running restaurant building on Gulf Beach Highway out toward Perdido and turned it into a pizza-and-bar room with a surprisingly wide reach. Pies run from eight inches to twenty and get inventive: Who Dat Saint with Cajun sausage and shrimp, Sweet Heat with fennel sausage and pineapple, a Tex-Mex built on refried beans. Beyond pizza sit eight-ounce Angus burgers, grouper and shrimp tacos with mango salsa, boom boom fried shrimp, Wisconsin cheese curds and calzones. Specials anchor every weeknight, Sunday adds a brunch, and happy hour runs every day. Only Monday mornings are dark here.
