BELLA ROMA PIZZERIA RESTAURANT – Restaurant

Second-generation regulars still call it the pizzeria, though the sign says restaurant and the menu backs that up. Opened in 1987 at 4301 Coconut Creek Parkway, it pairs hand-built pizza with plated Italian cooking: fettuccine alfredo, spaghetti carbonara, baked lasagna and chicken parmesan among the mainstays. Half trays feed eight to ten, full trays eighteen to twenty, and same-day catering is possible on most items. There is a dining room, a phone line for pickup, delivery, and a rotating specials board. Diners describe it as unpretentious and reliable rather than fashionable. One of the community's original restaurants, and still going.
