Carrollwood's slice shop on North Dale Mabry runs on old-school method: dough mixed and hand-stretched every morning, stone-fired ovens, nothing reheated. The family behind it came from Brooklyn and opened here in 2005. Pies run from ten to eighteen inches, from classic cheese, pepperoni, margherita, white and veggie to a loaded specialty, plus a thick Sicilian with caramelised cheese edges. The kitchen also turns out calzones, chicken rolls, antipasto salad, buffalo wings, meatball sliders on garlic knots and Italian dinners. A gluten-free crust is on offer. Doors open at eleven daily, closing at nine most nights and ten at weekends.
