BEY BEY – Restaurant

Beirut meets the Yucatan in Sunset Harbour, and the collision works. The name shortens a Lebanese phrase meaning my home is your home, which explains the room's temperature better than any design note could. Kibbe steak tartare arrives with crisped bulgur and za'atar, charred octopus gets house chimichurri, and a twenty four hour lamb shank comes under pistachio, hazelnut and pomegranate. Lunch runs lighter: shirazi salad, za'atar fries, a Lebanese mixed grill of beef and chicken skewers with lamb chops, hummus and saj bread. Toum, zhug, harissa and salsa macha sit side by side. Ube or matcha soft serve finishes.
