Jamaican home cooking on South US Highway 1, doors open at eight in the morning six days a week. Breakfast is the real tell here: ackee and saltfish, callaloo, liver, cornbeef and cabbage, butterbeans and saltfish, with porridge added on Fridays and Saturdays. Lunch turns to jerk chicken, jerk pork, oxtail, curry goat, brown stew chicken and chicken and waffles, all over rice and peas with two sides chosen from steamed cabbage, macaroni, plantains and baked beans. Soup changes daily, cowfoot on Tuesday, fish Wednesday, goat Friday. Seafood is cooked to order. Closed Sundays. Catering is offered for events too.
