BIG CAT HABITAT & GULF COAST SANCTUARY – Restaurant
Big Cat Habitat & Gulf Coast Sanctuary is a nonprofit rescue on Palmer Boulevard in Sarasota, founded in 1987 by circus-family trainer Kay Rosaire as a home for tigers, lions, bears and more than three hundred animals across sixty-two species. Visitors watch daily demonstrations and can book wild yoga alongside capybaras and tigers, plus a petting zoo of goats and birds. Between tours, the on-site Big Cat Bistro serves hand-pattied burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, grilled chicken, a veggie burger, hot dogs, corn dogs, Italian sausage, gyros, chicken strips, nachos and fries, soft-serve ice cream. Open Wednesday to Sunday, noon to four.
