The Boat Club, also known locally as the Anclote River Boat Club, is a weathered waterfront dive bar at 1761 Beckett Way in Tarpon Springs, deck built along the river. Regulars come for cold beer, casual conversation, and free live music -- country and classic rock, with open-mic nights -- rather than polish. Food runs simple: chili dogs, chicken, and a spring roll among the customer favorites, served buffet-style and often cold. It is cash-only, with outdoor seating and no reservations. Reviewers keep calling it the truest dive bar around, a scruffy slice of old Florida that somehow still works.
