BONGOS – Restaurant
A small Sebring kitchen on State Road 17 North doing Cuban and Latin cooking with unusual precision, right down to printing calorie and macro counts beside every dish. Bongos runs Wednesday through Saturday, eleven until six. Start with yucca fries, beef empanadas, chorizo and morcilla, or a wild shrimp ceviche. The sandwich list holds a proper Cuban, an Argentinian choripan with chimichurri, and steak with onions. Specialties and bowls are the heart of it: Caribbean roast pork in sour orange, ropa vieja, garlic shrimp, French pork tenderloin in sherry butter, citrus fish. Two sides come with everything, congri rice included.
