BONO'S BBQ – Restaurant

Black jack oak smoke, a working pit and a menu that has not drifted far since Lou Bono started this Jacksonville institution in 1949. The wings are rubbed, smoked over that oak and sauced to order, or served naked if you would rather taste the wood. Smokehouse Stackers pile pulled pork under coleslaw for the Slawpy Pig, or top smoked turkey with a sausage link for the Bird Dog. Family Feasts bring whole chicken, meat by the pound, family sides and garlic toast. Brunswick stew, collards, mac and cheese. A different daily special runs on every day of the week.
