BREW-ZA-BAGELS – Restaurant

Doors open at six on the Tamiami Trail, which tells you who this is for: Venice's early crowd, in for coffee and something boiled and baked. The bagels are New York water-boiled and baked fresh each morning, running from plain through rainbow, dressed with house-made spreads or built into breakfast sandwiches. The Manhattan stacks lox, cream cheese, capers and onion; a John Gotti sits beside it. New York style pizza comes by the slice or the whole pie, and pizza bagels split the difference. Coffee is locally roasted, cold brew included. The counter closes by mid-afternoon, seven days a week.
