BRICK COFFEE AND BAR – Restaurant

A narrow, brick-lined room on Fifth Avenue South in Naples, open from eight in the morning until ten at night, with tables spilling onto the sidewalk. Lavazza pulls the espresso, and the cappuccinos are what people mention first. Food is café-scaled but made to order: Italian, turkey, pesto chicken, smoked salmon and vegetarian paninis, a BLT, bacon-egg-and-cheese, a ham-egg-and-cheese croissant, chicken salad, Greek salad, grilled chicken salad and mixed greens, with chocolate croissants at the counter. Beer and wine are poured too, which turns the morning coffee stop into an evening one. Friendly, unhurried service is the note people repeat.
