Soul food out of a window in South St. Pete, the truck parked on 22nd Street South between a fish house and a neighbourhood restaurant, run by Ashley Reed with her mother working the order hatch. Wings are hand-battered and dressed in house marinades and sauces, honey hot and Hennessy barbecue among them, and land beside crisp waffles. The rest reads like Sunday dinner: oxtails, fried fish, fried shrimp, collard greens, candied yams, cornbread, banana pudding to finish. Specialty lemonades are made in-house too. The truck works community events too, and hosts a monthly Soul Food Sunday on The Deuces.
