BURGER INN – American
A 1950s roadside drive-in still doing real curb service on North Harbor City Boulevard, cooking to order on the original grill. The house specials list is pure Americana: the Elvis under bacon, chopped onion, cheddar and peanut butter, the John Wayne with onion rings and barbecue sauce, the Monroe with grilled pineapple and teriyaki, the Betty Boop with chili and coleslaw, the three-patty Big Booper. Around them run corn dogs, lamb and chicken gyros, pork tenderloin, chili cheese fries and loaded Fatboy fries. Handmade shakes, root beer floats, banana splits and funnel cake sticks finish. The doors close on Sundays.
