Jacksonville's Riverside Avenue branch keeps a small kitchen and a full board. Everything starts with Angus beef carrying no added hormones or antibiotics, then splits between the Rodeo, loaded with charred jalapenos, pepper jack, crispy onions and barbecue sauce, and the simpler Yes Chef with caramelized onions and American cheese. Hand-breaded chicken tenders arrive with Texas toast and a sauce of your choosing. Fries are cut daily. The Cry and Fry basket pairs them with beer-battered rings. Regulars come for the patio and the counter team; fry consistency is the standing quibble. Frozen custard shakes finish, thick and properly cold.
