CAFE HONEYMOON – Restaurant

The beach cafe at Honeymoon Island State Park, planted on the main strand at the end of the Dunedin causeway, where lunch means sand underfoot and a burger in hand. The griddle turns out the Island Hamburger, a veggie burger, BLTs, grilled cheese, tuna melts, fried fish sandwiches and hot dogs; baskets of chicken tenders, fish and shrimp arrive with fries. Ice cream, slushies, fountain drinks and draft beer handle the heat. The same counter rents umbrellas, chairs and kayaks, and stocks hats, shirts and beach odds and ends. Open daily from ten to five, weather and the park permitting.
