CAFE L'ARTISAN – Restaurant

A weekday morning-and-lunch cafe at Blue Lagoon in west Miami, with a patio out front and comfortable seating inside when the sun is not cooperating. Coffee opens the day, poured from fair-trade beans, and the pastry case fills each morning with croissants, almond and Nutella croissants, cheese pastries, pan de bono and empanadas. Warm ciabatta sandwiches run to chipotle chicken, hot-honey barbecue chicken and a slow-roasted pork Cuban; cold ones stack prosciutto or Serrano with Manchego. Salads span quinoa with feta, couscous with falafel and hummus, and two tuna recipes. Soup and a plat du jour change daily. Closed weekends.
