Canton Rose sits on Ludlam Road in Coral Terrace, a long-running Chinese-American counter that Miami's southwest side has kept in rotation. The order is familiar and it lands: egg rolls, shrimp rolls, barbecued ribs, a dozen fried wontons, chicken wings by the ten-piece. Soups run special wonton, seafood vegetable, and pork or chicken noodle. Mains stay classic, from moo goo gai pan and chicken with broccoli to Szechuan chicken, curry chicken and mu shu chicken served with pancakes. The fried rice list stretches from Yang Chow to plain ham. It is mostly a takeout operation, and orders turn around quickly.
