Out on West US Highway 90 in Lake City, store 3793 keeps the Captain D's formula intact: quick seafood, fried or grilled, hush puppies alongside nearly everything. Batter-dipped fish is the default, but the counter also sends out butterfly shrimp, clam strips, catfish, chicken tenders and a giant fish sandwich. The Seafood Trio and Ultimate Seafood Platter pile several together on one tray. Appetizers include fried green tomatoes, jalapeno poppers and mozzarella sticks. Sides cover broccoli, green beans, corn, okra, coleslaw and a baked potato. Family meals are sized to feed crowds cheaply. Dessert is cheesecake or funnel cake stix.
