CARIBBEAN TASTY DELIGHT – Restaurant

A food truck parked in downtown Lake Placid, in the plaza by the Dollar Tree, cooking Jamaican and Haitian plates Tuesday through Saturday from eleven until seven. Oxtail comes small or large, and so does griot, the Haitian fried pork. Jerk chicken can be chopped to order. The lunch special rotates curry chicken, brown stew chicken and fried chicken. Fish dinners are cooked from scratch, brown stew, escovitch or steamed, and worth the half-hour wait. Barbecue ribs and a two-meat combo feed bigger appetites. Sides mean rice and peas, mac and cheese, fried plantain. Patties and island drinks all day.
