CASA 28 MEXICAN GRILL – Restaurant

A Mexican grill on 28th Street North with a Latin American accent running right through it. Casa 28 opens with table-side guacamole, yuca frita under garlic aioli, nacho fries and camarones a la diabla, then moves to the plates that give it away: bandeja latina piled with steak, plantains, chicharron, egg and corn cake, chaulafan fried rice from Ecuador, lomito saltado over fries. Steak eaters get churrasco al chimichurri, alambres and bistec encebollado; the seafood side runs whole fried mojarra and aguachile verde. There is a full bar, weekly specials, catering and party hosting. Reserve a table, and come hungry.
