Oldsmar's small Italian dining room does things the long way: pasta, bread and cheese made fresh on site each day, ingredients imported from Italy, and a printed note asking you to be patient while the kitchen cooks to order. Begin with caprese al cucchiaio under crisp prosciutto, mozzarella fritta, cozze Posillipo, or the Amalfi board of cured meats and cheese. Then trofie al pesto with fried artichokes, gnocchi alla Sorrentina, spaghetti Nettuno, saltimbocca alla Romana, black grouper al forno, or cioppino. Gluten-free and vegetarian versions on request. Dinner only, closed Sundays, seventy-five seats for events. Unhurried, and proud of it.
