CASA GRANDE BAR AND GRILL #1 – Restaurant

Guacamole mixed at the table from ripe Hass avocados is the opening move at this family Mexican room on Apalachee Parkway in Tallahassee. Tacos come three to a plate: birria, pork belly with chipotle aioli, baja-style fried fish or shrimp, grilled tilapia, crispy chicken. Street tacos arrive on homemade tortillas with asada, al pastor, birria or carnitas. Chicken tortilla soup and a siete mares seafood soup hold the comfort end. Appetizers, dinners, sandwiches and burgers fill out the rest. Then the drinks: layered frozen margaritas, flights of ten flavours, an eighty-eight-ounce tower, homemade sangria. Take-out orders are welcome all week.
