CASA LUCAS – Restaurant

Casa Lucas calls itself Spanish fusion and cooks like a grill house with a Madrid accent, out on Southwest 8th Street in Westchester. Aperitivos set it up: an Iberian board of jamon, manchego and cantimpalo chorizo, croquetas split between serrano ham and black truffle, wagyu tartare, gambas al ajillo, piquillo peppers stuffed with white tuna. Then the charcoal arrives, meaning pulpo a la brasa, lamb chops, a 24-ounce chuleton, wagyu picanha, whole rotisserie chicken. Rice comes caldoso, country-style or seafood; pasta means mezzo rigatoni with porcini and short rib. Dulce de leche flan or torreja with vanilla ice cream finishes.
