CASA VINCENZO RISTORANTE – Restaurant

At Veranda Falls in Port St Lucie, Casa Vincenzo cooks the sort of Italian that rewards a long table and a slow evening. Starters run to tempura-fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with cheese and squash, thin-sliced Portuguese octopus over escarole, crab and mascarpone croquettes, sauteed Manila clams. Pasta is house-made or Gragnano-imported: fettuccine bolognese, spaghetti cacio e pepe, linguine alle vongole, paccheri with eggplant and buffalo mozzarella. Mains reach whole Dover sole meuniere, veal saltimbocca, branzino with capers and olives, a double-cut veal chop served three ways. Spirits are newly licensed and a cocktail list has arrived with them. Reservations recommended.
