Paradise unfiltered is the house line, and the First Avenue tasting room on Stock Island lives up to it: murals by local artists inside and out, Key West roosters and Hemingway among them, and ten taps of beer brewed on the premises. The names carry the island too, Expired Passport, El Hemingway, Coconut Coma and Havana Harvest. Food comes from Roostica next door, whose full wood-fired menu is served here: hand-formed pizzas, lasagna, shrimp penne alla vodka, veal marsala, catch of the day. Open Tuesday through Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday. Unhurried, local, and a world away from Duval Street.
