Celosa Cafe and Lounge sits in the open-air courtyard at The Plaza Coral Gables, directly in front of the Loews hotel that runs it — a shaded outdoor bar with scattered tables and a lounge corner on Coconut Grove Drive. The food menu is short and deliberately so: hummus with crispy chickpeas, jamon serrano laid open-faced over bread with Manchego and a pepper spread, sandwiches and snacks to go with morning coffee. The drinks list is the longer one, running cocktails, spirits, beer, wine and signature lemonades. It trades seasonally, closing through the hottest months and reopening when Miami cools.
