CEVICHE POINT – Restaurant

A Sunrise room on Sunset Strip, casual but neatly turned out, open through the week for lunch and dinner. Peruvian classics carry the menu: pulpo anticuchado, grilled octopus in panca pepper sauce with creole potatoes and huancaina; jalea mixta, crisp battered fish and seafood over tostones with salsa criolla; chupe de camarones, a shrimp soup thickened with fresh cheese, rice and a poached egg. Ceviches come as fish, mixed, octopus, pulpo a la chalaca, or a three-chili version, each with sweet potato and Peruvian corn. Chaufa and wok stir-fries follow. The full bar pours cocktails, wine, beer and chicha morada.
