CHIMI SPOT – Mexican
Dominican cooking on South Goldenrod Road, family-run and built around two things: the chimi and the mofongo. The Chimi Original arrives on toasted bread with cabbage, tomato, onion and mayoketchup; the pierna version uses roast pork leg, and the Pepe goes further still. Mofongo comes stuffed with longaniza, chicharron de pollo or grilled chicken breast, with trifongo and mofonguito trios beside it. Yaroa is loaded over french fries or sweet plantain. Picadera samplers run small to large, packed with fried pork, bone-in chicken, salami, fried cheese and tostones. Asopao de pollo, sancocho, natural juices and tostones locos. Pickup or delivery.
