CHINA ONE – Restaurant

Set in the West Villages Marketplace on Mercado Drive, this Venice kitchen bills itself as New York style and builds its card accordingly. Combination platters come with roast pork fried rice and an egg roll, from General Tso's chicken to shrimp with lobster sauce. Around them sit Szechuan style wontons, cold sesame noodles, sesame balls, Chinese donuts and roast pork yat gaw mein, plus a full pad thai section that most takeouts skip. Singapore mei fun brings the heat, and dumplings come fried or steamed by the eight. Closed Mondays, open late Fridays and Saturdays, and noon onwards on Sunday.
