Off Southwest 88th Street in West Kendall, Ciao Ristorante reads Italian first and Bavarian second, and the combination works better than it sounds. Burrata pugliese, polpo alla griglia and carpaccio di filetto open the meal; then risotto al nero di seppia, risotto funghi porcini or risotto frutti di mare, each cooked to order. Pasta covers cacio e pepe, rigatoni alla bolognese, lasagna della nonna and lobster ravioli. Veal appears several ways here, ossobuco included. The German side brings schnitzel, spatzle and apple strudel. Closed Mondays, dinner only midweek, with lunch served from Friday onward. Save room for the dessert card.
