COFFEE WITH LOVE – Restaurant

A Cuban counter on San Carlos Boulevard in Fort Myers Beach, opening at half past eight and running on strong coffee and hot bread. El Cubano is what people order first, pressed and stacked; pan con bistec follows close behind. The kitchen turns out ropa vieja, cerdo asado, bistec de res and bistec de pechuga de pollo over rice and beans, with fried eggs and a desayuno card for the early crowd. Ham croquetas and beef or chicken empanadas sit by the register. Cappuccinos, flavoured lattes and mango batidos handle the rest. Closed Sundays, short Saturdays. Small room, big plates.
