Continental Kosher Bakery – Restaurant

A neighbourhood kosher bakery that has held the same stretch of Burbank Boulevard since 1962, baking everything on site and entirely pareve. Challah is the anchor: large egg, sesame, pull-apart, water kiddush and a sweet San Diego loaf, braided fresh for Shabbat. Around it sit onion and plain bialys, bagels by the dozen, chocolate and cinnamon babka, rugelach, seven-layer cake, black-and-white cookies, almond croissants, apple strudel, raspberry horns, eclairs, cronuts and decorated cakes made to order. Vegan and sugar-free options too, in a peanut-free kitchen. Everything is hand-shaped and baked fresh every single morning. Closed Saturdays, and Friday finishes early.
