The Oak Tree Bar & Grille sits in the clubhouse overlooking the course, and it opens to the public seven days rather than members only. The kitchen plays a straight clubhouse hand and plays it well: garlic breaded cheese curds, boom boom shrimp, southwest egg rolls, Bavarian pretzel sticks with queso. Half-pound Omaha beef burgers come classic, as a patty melt on rye, or with bacon and feta. Flatbreads, a proper Reuben, the Birdie BBQ chicken sandwich, and Greek and mandarin orange sesame salads fill out the rest. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday afternoons. Doors close by early evening.
