CROOKED BASS GRILL & TAVERN – Restaurant
On Scenic Highway beside Crooked Lake, Tim and Tammy Bracewell opened the Crooked Bass in 2016 and built it around fish. Grouper, mahi, flounder and catfish arrive fried, grilled or blackened, in baskets or on sandwiches; frog legs and clam strips are fried only. Start with conch fritters, smoked fish dip, a crab stack, or seared ahi with wasabi and pickled ginger. Wings run from six to a boatload of fifty. Beyond that, prime rib, filet mignon, the Crooked Lake burger with pepper jack and jalapenos, and pizza. Tiki hours most evenings. Guests keep coming back for the crab legs.
