A working Colombian roastery on Dr. Andres Way that opens its bays as a cafe, eight to three, seven days a week. Cumbres is family-run: beans roasted and bagged on site, then poured into espresso drinks and a specials board running to lavender lattes, iced matcha and a banana coffee cake latte. The food is no afterthought. Sweet Heat Avocado Toast, the Sunrise Sammie, the Morning Luxe Melt and the frankly named Bacon-licious anchor a short toast-and-sandwich card, with bakery and sweets alongside. A second counter trades in Wellington, and the coffee truck works events. Small room, serious coffee indeed.
