A public golf course in Palm Coast whose clubhouse restaurant, The Player's Club, keeps hours of its own: bar from half past ten, kitchen eleven to three, Monday through Saturday, with a grab-and-go hot dog special covering Sunday. The card is honest lunch cooking. Breaded cod fish and chips, battered shrimp, chicken tenders, a corned beef Reuben, tuna melt deluxe with bacon and red onion, eight-inch cheese and pepperoni pizzas, beer-battered onion rings, soup off the board. Michelob Ultra and Yuengling pour on draft. Golfers, walkers and neighbours all wander in, and the operator says it plainly: open to everyone.
