Da Mikelle/ Troyka – Restaurant

A Bukharian and Russian dining room on Queens Boulevard in Forest Hills, part of a long-running family group of Queens restaurants and catering halls and trading under both the Da Mikelle and Troyka names. The kitchen leads with the grill: lula, lamb, beef, boneless chicken and veal liver kebabs, plus a vegetable skewer of tomato, eggplant, onion and pepper. Before them come achick-chuchuk, house-made hummus, babaganush and boijon, marinated solenia, an eggplant tahini salad. Soups are the classics, lagman with hand-spun noodles, shurpa, pelmeni in broth. Whole grilled branzini and a teriyaki-glazed Chilean sea bass steak anchor the fish list.
