Wood-fired pizza and hand-made pasta on SW 34th Street in southwest Gainesville, built on double-zero flour brought in from Italy and a kitchen that is not shy with hot honey. Pizza Da Vinci sets pomodoro, fior di latte, pepperoni and peppadew peppers under a drizzle of it. La Mavi goes white with burrata, gorgonzola and pistachio. Il Maddox brings Italian sausage with roasted mushroom and roasted pepper. The pasta side is where regulars keep landing, on gnocchi al pesto, rigatoni alla vodka and chicken fettuccine alfredo. There is outdoor seating, weekday dinners only, and midday openings later in the week.
