DADDY NINJA – Restaurant

Chef Mitsuhisa Nishio, known as El Ninja and born in Constanza in the Dominican Republic, runs this Osceola Parkway dining room on one idea: Japanese technique, Dominican flavour, no apologies. The sushi list is headed Aplatanao and means it. A Kissimmee Roll layers shrimp tempura, cream cheese, sweet plantains, guacamole and crab salad; El Chapo arrives fried in Doritos with ropa vieja; Sushifongo Big Sexy wraps steak and bacon inside mofongo. Beyond the rolls sit whole fried snapper, mar y tierra mofongo, chuleta frita with arroz con guandules, and bandejas of ropa vieja and pernil. Doors open at four daily.
