Dinner as theatre, on South Cleveland Avenue in Fort Myers — one of three DaRuMa rooms in Southwest Florida. Every hibachi dinner comes with clear soup, green salad, shrimp flambe, stir-fried vegetables and steamed rice before the teppan work starts, and you choose from filet mignon, New York strip, duck breast, sea scallops, Chilean sea bass or lobster, singly or paired. The sushi lounge handles seared ahi, salmon carpaccio, negamaki, escargot jalapeno nippon, and rolls such as the Geisha and the Double Hamachi. Sunset specials run early on weekdays. Reserve ahead, because this is very much a room for occasions.
