On the Irlo Bronson tourist strip, open at ten in the morning and frying until midnight, every day of the week. Dave's keeps the choice small and the heat entirely serious: tenders on plain white bread or sliders with pickles, house kale slaw and the chipotle-mayo Dave's Sauce, then a spice level from no spice up to a Reaper that requires a signed waiver. French fries, cheese fries and macaroni cheese are the sides, and the chicken is halal. The chain started in 2017 in an East Hollywood parking lot with a couple of folding tables and one portable fryer.
