NATHAN'S FAMOUS OLD TOWN – American

Tucked into Old Town's open-air run of shops and rides on West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, this is the Kissimmee outpost of the stand Nathan Handwerker opened on Coney Island in 1916 with a three-hundred-dollar loan and his wife's guarded spice recipe. The all-beef frankfurters still carry that snap, joined by chili cheese dogs, crinkle-cut fries, beer-battered onion rings and a signature burger. There is seating inside and out, though it fills up. Doors open late morning and stay open past ten on Friday and Saturday nights. No admission, no gate, no ceremony, just a classic still doing its job.
